Stop and really think about it. Most of us are not doing what we would like to do... most of all. Why? Because, believe it or not, we have let others take control of our financial well-being. How we live is controlled by our income. Our incomes, for most of us, are controlled by our employer. So, how we live is controlled by someone else. Someone who puts their interests before ours...always.

Why? Because that is what we learned to do since we were young. We were told, "Get an education, a good job and save for retirement" Remember that? Why? Because in today's world there is no loyalty to the employees. We are used as long as we are deemed valuable and quickly let go at the whim of our employer. Many of us have put in years of hard work and service only to be downsized. Most of us as employees are worried about losing our jobs whatever the reason. We do more than is required hoping it will make a difference. What would you change about your job? What do you sacrifice to keep it? Is it REALLY worth it?

Some of us have taken back control of our financial futures and are doing What We Like To Do... Most Of All. Some have taken the chance to be free of employers and have become entrepreneurs. People working for themselves, building their businesses so they can live their lives the way they deserve.

Most of us, sadly, will not take the first step. We won't because we don't know what to do, because we have put SO much into our job, because we are afraid of failure or because other people are telling us we "can't" do something. There is a long list of reasons that hold most of us back.
